History of Whole Body Vibration

Today’s WBV technology began in the 1960’s and is supported by over 40 years of research. The Russians originally used WBV in space and to rehabilitate cosmonauts after returning from space. Due to the lack of gravity in space, astronauts experienced severe muscle wastage and the loss of bone density. As a result of using WBV in space, astronauts were able to extend their 123 days to over 400 days.
